Dinosaur Handprint Craft
This handprint dinosaur craft is so easy and fun to make! Kids can add a personal message to it by making them into handprint cards.

You can also make up your own saying or message to add to the craft.
This would also make a cute Mother’s Day or Father’s Day card. Just add Mommysaurus or Daddysaurus inside the card!
You only need a few supplies to make these. If you don’t have colored cardstock, you can paint handprints instead. Just use our free printable template and add a painted handprint to it!

Supplies Needed To Make a Dinosaur Handprint
- Colored Cardstock
- Pink Paint
- Black Marker
- Glue
- Printable Template – you can get the template at the bottom of the post
How to Make a Dinosaur Handprint
1. Fold over a piece of cardstock and trace the handprint.
Trace the handprint so that the pinky is on the folded part (the thumb will be the dinosaur tail).
The card should now open up like this:
2. Print off our dinosaur handprint template.
Use the head template to trace on the same colored cardstock as the handprint and cut it out.
Then draw the eyes and mouth with a black marker.
3. Add pink cheek marks.
Dip the back of a paintbrush or pencil into pink paint and dab onto the face to make a pink cheek mark.
4. Cut out 3 circles for the dinosaur body.
Use our template or create your own circles. Cut them out and glue to the dinosaur body. We used a different color for each dinosaur.
5. Cut out the dinosaur spikes.
Use our template or create your own spikes. Glue to the back of the handprint at the top of the dinosaur.
6. Write a message inside the card.
Write one of our dinosaur messages inside the card or make up your own!
