- Non-Toxic Tempera Paint – in yellow, orange, red, and brown
- Paintbrushes

How to Make Fall Handprint Printables
1. Set up your painting space.
- Select your designs and print them on white paper or white cardstock and set them aside.
- Gather up your paint colors – we used orange, yellow, red, and brown.
- Fill a bowl or large dish with warm, soapy water and bring it to your painting space along with some clean rags, towels, baby wipes, and paper towels. Preparing this ahead will help make clean-up as smooth and easy as possible.
2. Paint your child’s hand.
Apply non-toxic tempera paint onto the palm of your child’s hand.
Here are the colors we used:
- Pumpkin – orange
- Acorn – brown
- Owl – brown
- Apple – red
- Sunflower – yellow
- “Fall” – orange
- Fall tree – yellow, orange, and red

3. Stamp onto the paper.
Gently guide your child’s hand to the blank space on the page, lining their hand up with the printed details. Have them press their entire hand down onto the page to make a nice, clear handprint.
Carefully have them lift their hand up off of the paper and set the paper aside to dry.
If stamping more art in the same color, apply another coat and repeat this process.
If switching to another color, help your child wash and dry their hands.

Your fall handprint art is complete!
Once the paint has dried, don’t forget to write your child’s name and the date onto each page!
