Printable Paper Apple Craft
We painted the apples red and green, but you can paint them whatever color you’d like. Yellow and pink apples would be cute too!
Write a fall-themed message inside to finish them up – we wrote “You’re the apple of my eye!” and “You’re awesome to the core!”.
You can even add a message for a teacher and give this as a teacher card. Add “I couldn’t have picked a better teacher!” inside the card.
Also print off our apple templates to make banners and other crafts with them!

How to Make the Paper Apple Craft
1. Print out the template.
Get the free printable template emailed to you at the bottom of the post.
Print on white cardstock or thicker paper – it will take the paint better and wrinkle less than regular printer paper. If using crayons or markers to color than regular paper will work too.
The template is on 1 page. If you want to turn it into a card you will need all pieces, otherwise just cut out the full apple and leaf for to make it as a craft only.
2. Color the apples.
Color the leaf green and the stem brown. Leave the apple portion with the stem on it unpainted (the message will go here later) and paint the stemless apple red, green, or whatever color you’d like.
Set aside to dry completely and then cut out the shapes.
3. Glue the apples together.
Apply a thin line of glue along the top edge of the unpainted apple. Place the painted apple on top and press it in place to secure.
4. Attach the leaf.
Apply some glue to the end point of the leaf and attach it behind the apple card, pressing to secure.
5. Make the apple’s face.
Apply glue to the back of each googly eye and press onto the apple to attach.
Use a black marker to draw a smile onto the apple’s face.
To make the cheeks, dip the back of a paintbrush or pencil into pink paint and dab onto the sides of the mouth. Kids can also paint or color the cheeks on.
6. Write a message inside.
Use a black marker to write a message inside – we used the phrases “You’re awesome to the core!” and “You’re the apple of my eye!” but you can write whatever you’d like.
These make the cutest cards for teachers or a fun apple craft to do for an apple-theme this fall!
