Our trick to making perfect paper popcorn (try saying that 5 times fast!) is to use both white and yellow tissue paper. We share the full details in the tutorial below!

Supplies Needed
- Printable popcorn turkey template – get it at the bottom of the post
- Colored paper – red and white
- Tissue paper – yellow and white cut into 2 inch squares or you can buy tissue paper squares
- Markers – (or paint markers, paint, etc) to color in the turkey template
- Scissors
- White glue – to glue the tissue paper popcorn to the paper
- Gluestick

How to Make a Popcorn Turkey Disguise
1. Color in the turkey.
First, print off a blank disguise a turkey template.
Use markers, paint, or your coloring tool of choice to color in the turkey’s head. Everything else will be covered, so no need to color in the whole thing.

2. Make the popcorn bag.
Trace the template (you can print off the template at the bottom of the post) onto red paper and cut out the shape.
Cut white paper stripes using the template as a guide – we used 4 stripes on our popcorn bag.

Glue the white paper stripes onto the red bag shape. You want each end to hang over as you will trim this off.
Trim the overhanging stripes off so that you have straight edges on the top and bottom.

Glue the popcorn bag down onto the page so that the turkey’s head pops out of the bag.

3. Make the popcorn.
Cut yellow and white tissue paper into roughly 2″ squares.

Layer 1 white square and 1 yellow square.

Crumple the squares together into a loose ball. The white and yellow should both be visible and your tissue paper ball should look a lot like popcorn! Repeat this process so that you have a large pile of popcorn.

4. Add the popcorn onto the page.
Apply white glue over the turkey’s tail feathers and put the tissue paper popcorn on top to cover it.

Repeat this all over the tail feather until just the turkey’s face is visible.

Once the glue has dried, your turkey disguise is ready!
