How to Make a Crayon Box Turkey Disguise
1. Color in the turkey.
Print off a blank disguise a turkey template on white paper or cardstock.
Use markers, paint, colored pencils, crayons, etc to color in the turkey’s head and feet – don’t worry about the rest, it will be covered by the disguise.

2. Make the crayons.
Print and cut out the crayon template. Trace it onto 9 different colored papers in various shades of the rainbow and cut them out. You can also trace on white paper and color the crayon templates yourself.

Use a pencil to draw 2 horizontal lines across the crayon (use a ruler or the edge of a paper to draw straight lines) about 3/4″ apart. Then draw 2 wavy lines between these horizontal lines, as shown below.

Use a black marker to color in the sections above and below the wavy line, so that you’re left with a wavy line in the color of the crayon. Repeat this process for all 9 crayons.

3. Make the crayon box.
Cut out the crayon box templates. Trace the box onto yellow paper, the triangle onto green paper (make 2), and the banner onto red paper. The banner is also optional.
Cut them all out.

Glue the green triangles onto the bottom corners of the crayon box and use a black marker to write “CRAYONS” between them.
On the red banner, you can write “Not a turkey, just”, your child’s name, or leave it blank. Glue this red banner above the word “CRAYONS”.

4. Attach the crayons.
Use a glue stick to attach the crayons one by one onto the turkey template, overlapping them slightly and making sure to cover each turkey tail feather.
As the crayons get closer to the turkey’s head, trim the end so that the turkey’s face isn’t covered. You can use a pencil to trace the outline and then cut it out, or just eyeball it.

Continue adding the crayons all the way around the turkey in the same way.

5. Glue on the crayon box.
Glue down the paper crayon box so that they turkey’s face is visible through the window.

Your turkey’s crayon box disguise is complete!
