- 3 oz Jello package (Cherry, Grape, Lime, Orange, Lemon)
- 1/2 tsp Kool-Aid or flavored drink mix (Cherry, Grape, Lemon-Lime,Orange, Lemonade)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
Bring one cup of water to a boil.
Pour in one flavor of Jello powder and ½ teaspoon Kool-Aid of the same flavor. For example, Cherry Jello with Cherry Kool-Aid. You can also experiment with different flavor combinations but the colors may turn brown.
Once the Jello and Kool-Aid have dissolved into the boiling water, add the cold water and stir until mixed.
Repeat this process with any other remaining flavors you'd like to make. Each recipe will make 5 popsicles.
Pour the liquid from the saucepan into a measuring cup with a spout - the spout makes pouring into the popsicle mold cavities much easier. Pour about 1/2 cup of liquid into each popsicle mold cavity. Place the lid onto the popsicle mold and insert the popsicle sticks halfway once the lid is on. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight, if needed.
Once the popsicles are frozen and ready to eat, fill a large pot halfway with warm water and submerge the bottom of the popsicle mold for 30 seconds. This will help loosen them and make it easier to remove them from the mold.
Optional: If you would like to make the popsicles sweeter, you can add a tablespoon of extra sugar to the mix.
Getting the popsicles out: submerge the bottom of the popsicle mold in warm water for 30 seconds. Then gently pull up on the popsicles. If the popsicle still feels stuck, try to pull each side of the individual cavity of the popsicle mold slightly apart. This will help loosen them even more.
