Salt Dough Christmas Decorations

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Salt
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Water maybe a little more
  • Star Cookie Cutters
  • Ribbon
  • Bells

Instructions

  • Begin by mixing the flour and salt together.
  • Add the water until it starts to form a dough
  • If it feels a little dry, you can add more water a tablespoon at a time.
  • Knead the dough until it forms a soft ball. Roll it out to about 1/2 inch in thickness.
  • Cut out star shapes using a small and large star cookie cutter.
  • Place the salt dough shapes on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees F for about 2 hours, or until the dough is completely dried out.
  • Next, thread some narrow ribbon through some bells.
  • Tie the ribbon onto the star so that the bell is in the center.
  • And now you have the sweetest salt dough star ornaments!
