In a large pot, add in the wet ingredients: vegetable oil, food color, maple flavor and water (add brown food coloring to water first so it's easier to mix in), stir.
Then add in your dry ingredients: cream of tarter, salt, flour.
Cook over medium heat until the dough starts to form and becomes dry.
Let your dough cool and knead. If the dough feels sticky, add more flour. If you would like more scent, you can add more flavoring and knead in but be careful to not add too much or it will be wet and will need more flour.
