DIY Puffy Paint Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup shaving cream
- 1/4 cup white glue
- 2 drops liquid gel food coloring - regular food coloring is fine to use but you may need more drops
Instructions
- Add 1/4 cup of shaving cream to a small bowl. If making for one child, you can halve this recipe. Alternatively, you can make a larger batch and then split into smaller bowls before adding the food coloring
- Add 1/4 cup of white glue to the small bowl.
- Add 1-2 drops of liquid gel food coloring. If using regular food coloring, you may need more drops.
- Mix the puffy paint until the food coloring has been fully mixed in.
- If you would like to use the templates to paint, print them off on white cardstock.
- After you are done painting, allow your puffy paint art to dry for a day until it is no longer sticky to the touch.
Notes
Repeat the recipe for each color you would like to make. You can make a larger or smaller batch if needed by keeping the same 1:1 ratio of glue to shaving cream.
You can also use acrylic paint or washable paint instead of food coloring.
